        From  29 years' professional research, this nonprofit divorce-prevention Web site proposes that the current U.S. divorce epidemic is caused by a combination of five little-known factors. One factor is unawareness of your Self and key information.

        Part of this vital information is summarized in this free research-based modular (re)marriage-prep course, which I have led (and learned from) with over 500 typical committed couples. Five of the 8 course modules apply to all couples. The other three apply to couples forming or joining a stepfamily.

       Each module and guide in this unique course is available free, as a downloadable Adobe (.pdf) file or a compressed, self-expanding Microsoft Word (.doc) file. Adobe files require no expanding (unzipping), and can be read on and printed from any PC. If you prefer them, download and install the free Adobe Reader utility and try it by reading and printing this 10-page sample1.pdf file - the module 1 guide (seminar introduction), excluding the handouts. 

        If you have Microsoft Word, download individual course modules or all 10 WORD files in one self-expanding file: sfprep-10files-doc.exe (1 Mb). If you don't have Microsoft Word, download the free Microsoft Word viewer. This utility will let you read and print Word files but not create or change them. Get the appropriate version by searching the www.microsoft.com site for "Word viewer."  The course files were composed using Word 2002.

        To see if you need the viewer, try downloading this sample 10-page module-1 guide. It may take a few moments before it displays. Note: If the visual-aid layouts (text-boxes) in these module guides seem skewed relative to their text, click on the Word ( File | Page Setup ) drop-down menu to see if all four margins are set to one inch.
