Effective Therapy with Divorcing Families and Stepfamilies

Members of typical divorcing families and stepfamilies are wounded and unaware.  They face many simultaneous hazards, adjustment tasks and conflicts that they're not prepared to handle effectively.

Most divorcing co-parents and stepfamily adults need education, coaching, encouragement, and constructive confrontation to evolve stable, high-nurturance family relationships, harmony, and self-sufficient, wholistically-healthy kids. Currently, few professional counselors and therapists (and other human-service professionals) are trained to fill the unique needs of typical divorced and stepfamily parents, kids, and supporters effectively.

These articles are based on 27 years' experience (a) studying the needs and functioning of these complex, multi-home families and (b) learning to provide effective therapy for over 1,000 typical (Midwest U.S.) co-parents and their kids.
